Cursed
By: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Expected publication: September 18th 2012
Spencer Hill Press
Dying sucks--and high school senior Ember McWilliams knows firsthand. After a fatal car accident, her gifted little sister brought her back. Now anything Ember touches dies. And that, well, really blows.

Ember operates on a no-touch policy with all living things--including boys. When Hayden Cromwell shows up, quoting Oscar Wilde and claiming her curse is a gift, she thinks he’s a crazed cutie. But when he tells her he can help control it, she’s more than interested. There’s just one catch: Ember has to trust Hayden's adopted father, a man she's sure has sinister reasons for collecting children whose abilities even weird her out. However, she’s willing to do anything to hold her sister's hand again. And hell, she'd also like to be able to kiss Hayden. Who wouldn't?

But when Ember learns the accident that turned her into a freak may not've been an accident at all, she’s not sure who to trust. Someone wanted her dead, and the closer she gets to the truth, the closer she is to losing not only her heart, but her life. For real this time.

Entangled Teen

Falling in love with a boy was never part of the plan. Falling for a reaper who makes her chest ache and her head spin? Not an option.

It’s not easy being dead, especially for a reaper in love with a girl fate has put on his list not once, but twice. Finn’s fellow reapers give him hell about spending time with Emma, but Finn couldn’t let her die before, and he’s not about to let her die now. He will protect the girl he loves from the evil he accidentally unleashed, even if it means sacrificing the only thing he has left…his soul.

Review:
I heard a lot of buzz going around about this book on twitter so i decided to read it. I knew it would be good but not THIS GOOD, it blew me away leaving me with no regrets. It's absolutely stunning, purely magnificent! Alone the cover drew me in but the summary was so interesting it left me wanting more. I felt a magnetic pull pulling me in the book each time i read it, Courtney is a genius!

Ellie is a ordinary girl by day, but kicks evil butt during the night. After her seventeenth birthday everything changes. She now has to face dangerous, deadly, and gruesome creatures called the reapers who would do anything to get their hands on her. The only way to defend herself is by awakening her powers. The way Ellie takes on the reapers are amazing, she's brave and very talented. Trust me she's a girl you wouldn't want to mess with.

Will is to die for, he is not only strong but Ellie's fierce protector. He always has Ellie's back and comes to help her if she seemed troubled. Together they kick ass and are unbeatable. I adored how Will would do anything to keep Ellie safe under any circumstances, and how he is so over protective at certain times, its just so sweet. Will is like Ellie's knight and shinning armor.

More kick-ass characters are introduced in this book as you go on, but since i don't want to spoil everything for you i'll end here.

Angelfire is a wonderful debut, I'm looking forward to reading more about it and i hope i get to know the charaters more better in the next book. If you’re looking for a book with tones of action, amazing kick-ass characters and creatures that will send chills through your bone, then i suggest this is the perfect book for you.

I rated this book 5 out of 5 stars!

Reveiw: Shatter Me By: Tahereh Mafi

SHATTER ME : ( Shatter Me #1)
By: Tahereh Mafi

Summary:
Juliette hasn't touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal. As long as she doesn't hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don't fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war-- and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she's exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

"In this electrifying debut, Tahereh Mafi presents a world as riveting as The Hunger Games and a superhero story as thrilling as The X-Men. Full of pulse-pounding romance, intoxicating villainy, and high-stakes choices, Shatter Me is a fresh and original dystopian novel—with a paranormal twist—that will leave readers anxiously awaiting its sequel."

 Review:
Intriguing, electrifying, compelling, and breathtaking. Shatter Me was beyond anything i ever expected it would be, it was just so fascinating to experience. Tahereh Mafi's writing was absolutely beautiful, you would say poetic even. The world she created was so unique.. so fresh. It was terrifying, tragic, and different. I absolutely loved it! The story was so believable it felt like i was actually living there. Shatter Me will leave you speechless!

Juliette is a strong well built character. Shes been known as an outcast to everyone since she was a child, her parents wouldn't even touch her. No matter how the kids treated her at school Juliette always had a kind heart to help them out and to forgive them of what they had done to her. Things has gotten really hard for her after she had been locked up in the government facility for 264 days, yet Juliette was always so brave and full of hope.

Then there's Adam. At first Adam was a jerk even tho Juliette was constantly nice to him he would still treat her with disrespect. His bad attitude has caused Juliette a great distaste for him but who knew it was all just a show. Turns out hes actually super sweet, caring, and very very attractive. Adam will capture your heart from the beginning to the end.

One of the characters i loved the most in this book was Kenji. Ah Kenji, when he comes into the book he would always lighten up my mood, hes just so funny. I loved how he would joke around about Juliette and make compliments about her that would make Adam so crazily mad at him. I hope we will get to see more of him in the next book!

Lastly there's Warner the cruel, powerful, and evil bad guy. There's something about him that makes me feel so drawn to him but i just don't know what. In some scenes i just felt so sorry for him and wanted to be on his side but then the others just made me want to rip his head off. As we get to know Warner better maybe we'll find out what caused him to be so cruel.

Shatter Me is full of surprises, and romance that will leave you begging for more! I just fell in love with this book on the first page and for sure you will too. This book is a must-read!

I rated this 5 out of 5 stars!
